Peter
Allen (President & CEO) is responsible for all aspects of
the operation of Innovance Networks, including research and development,
product design, manufacturing, sales and marketing, finance and general
administration. Peter brings 21 years of industry experience in optical
and broadband technologies to Innovance Networks. Prior to joining the company,
Peter was the Vice-President of Business Development and General Manager
of the Optoelectronics organization within Nortel Networks' Optical Networks
division, where he had responsibilities for both the system and component
businesses. Peter's experience in business leadership includes heading up
a 5000-employee global operation spanning R&D, manufacturing, as well
as Sales & Marketing. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions
and has been involved in numerous multi-billion dollar transactions, as
well as establishing business partnerships in North America, Europe and
Japan. Peter has also held managerial positions at Ford Motor Company and
Rothmans International, and has lived and worked in North America, Europe
and Africa. |

James
Frodsham (Chief Operating Officer) is ultimately responsible
for the execution of business strategy and bringing the Innovance product
line to market. With over 14 years experience in telecommunications industry,
James has worked in the optical components and optical networking areas.
His diverse experience includes product line management, market development,
operations management, and product design activities. Most recently James
was Vice-President of product management for Nortel Networks' optical networking
business. James led the product management and account development efforts
that established 10 Gbps DWDM technology as the solution of choice in the
majority of global Tier 1 backbone Service Providers. He has experience
in both the backbone and metropolitan networking arenas. James holds a Bachelor's
degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario,
Canada. |

Wayne
Edmunds (Chief Financial Officer) is responsible for the financial
planning and operations of Innovance Networks. Wayne brings 18 years of
telecommunication experience, including seven years in optical networking
and network software. Prior to joining the company, Wayne was the Vice President
of Finance for the Optical Networking Division of Lucent Technologies. Wayne
also served as Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for
Lucent overseas, responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa operations.
Wayne holds a degree in Accounting from Rutgers University and an MBA in
Finance from Pace University. Prior to joining Lucent Technologies, Wayne
also worked for Amerada Hess Oil in Corporate Treasury. |

Dr.
Alan Solheim (Chief Technology Officer) is responsible for the
product and technology direction of Innovance Networks' portfolio, and ultimately
the architecture of its next-generation platform. Alan is one of the telecom
industry's leading high-capacity optical networking scientists. Pioneering
the optical standard, Alan has filed more than 50 patents in the fields
of fiber-optic system design and semiconductor manufacturing. Over his extensive
18-year experience in fiber optics, Alan architected Nortel Networks' 10
Gbps high-capacity line system and DWDM platform, one of the industry's
most successful innovations to date. Subsequently he was responsible for
the development and technical strategy for metropolitan optical networking
programs in Nortel Networks. Alan is diversely published, and has served
on the board of several industry publications and conferences. He holds
a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario,
Canada. |

Dave
Nicholson (Sr. VP, Product Development) spearheads the research
and development efforts in support of Innovance Networks' technology offering.
With 18 years experience developing high capacity transport systems, Dave
Nicholson is one of the industry's most seasoned product development leaders.
Dave was the key hardware architect behind the world's first OC-48 (2.5
Gbps) optical product. On this program, Dave honed his product development
expertise with the introduction of several new technologies including one
of the first telecom applications of high-speed GaAs electronics, and ushered
in the era of 1550nm technology and first generation EDFAs. Dave also led
the Nortel Networks OC-192 design team, which delivered the industry's first
10 Gbps optical transport system, and introduced DWDM technology and multiple
wavelength line systems at 10 Gbps. Recently, Dave led a high-capacity optical
networking R&D organization in Europe, developing an STM-64 product
that has been successfully introduced to many pan-European networks. His
latest work is in the area of wavelength routing and switching. Dave holds
six optical transport patents and has an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. |

Mike
Doiron (VP, Operations) is responsible for product realization
and the supply-chain management of Innovance Networks photonic networking
portfolio. Mike brings with him more than 13 years of Manufacturing Operations,
Supply Chain Management, and Outsourcing Strategy experience. Prior to joining
Innovance Networks Mike held various operations-related positions at IBM,
Celestica, Newbridge Networks, JDS Uniphase, and most recently Alcatel.
With previous company roles such as VP Operations Strategy, VP Production
& Engineering, and most recently as VP & Plant General Manager at
Alcatel, his experiences have spanned the computer, telecommunications and
optical components fields on a global basis. Mike has managed groups in
excess of 1300 employees across several countries, in addition to leading
manufacturing and outsource build plans that exceeded $2 B in annual sales.
Mike holds an Engineering Science Diploma from the University of PEI, a
Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc.Eng.) degree from University of New Brunswick,
and a Masters in Engineering (M.Eng.) from the University of Toronto. |
